Instructions
Use the Kitchen Guide at the bottom of this page to determine the shape of your kitchen.
Measure the three main dimensions A, B and C shown -- in inches.
Enter those dimensions into the form below, and choose the kitchen shape.
Don't see your kitchen? Not estimating a kitchen? Already know the total square footage?
If your kitchen type is not shown, or is more complicated, or your project is not a kitchen at all, you may choose to determine square footage by your own calculation and then enter that in Step 3. To do so, hit "Skip These Steps" at the bottom of this page.
What about an island or peninsula? That's done in Step 2.
What about sinks and stoves? That's done in Step 3.
What about the backsplash? That's done in Step 3.

Guide: L-Shaped Kitchen
THE ORIENTATION of your kitchen may differ, but the basic dimensions A, B and C will be present in an L-shaped kitchen.
TO ENSURE proper estimation, enter the 3 dimensions in inches and make sure you enter the proper dimension in the proper form slot (Dimension A must be entered in the slot for Dimension A, etc.).

Guide: Galley Kitchen
THE ORIENTATION of your kitchen may differ, but the basic dimensions A, B and C will be present in an galley kitchen.
TO ENSURE proper estimation, enter the 3 dimensions in inches and make sure you enter the proper dimension in the proper form slot (Dimension A must be entered in the slot for Dimension A, etc.).
Is the countertop you wish to estimate on only one wall of your kitchen? Then simply choose one side of the galley kitchen, and set the dimension(s) of the other side to 0. For instance, to measure a one-wall countertop with a stove in the middle, enter dimensions A and B, and enter 0 for dimension C.

THE ORIENTATION of your kitchen may differ, but the basic dimensions A, B and C will be present in an U-shaped kitchen.

What about the stove? Our estimator assumes a standard size stove placed at any point within the U-shaped countertop. The estimator will automatically account for your stove.
